Hi, my name is David. Where did it all begin for me? Well, it started at the age of 12 when I got my first TV although it was fun to watch. My mind was more interested in how it worked, what was in that box. So I opened it and found a wonderful mystery that I spent hours taking apart.
This was also my first lesson, “An electric shock”, not knowing at the time that a capacitor holds charge without the TV being plugged in. What a shock! Yes, I recovered and I did put it all back together and it still worked (YAY!). Since then, I have fixed many devices over time and still learn things even today.
Based in Portsmouth, willing to take any sensible electronic device to repair, if you are unsure, please drop me a note.
You will need to either bring the device to me, have it delivered to me, or drop it off at an agreed drop point.
When I first got in to electronic repair, I was not as experienced at doing soldering or fault-finding as quickly as I do today.
Yes, I make it look easy and quick. That is based on my experience, skills, and tools that allowed me to do this.
